Weaving with a cat on your lap!

I am not really a cat person but Cozmo has decided to ignore that.  I regularly visit his home and this week and last he has sat on my lap.  Last week it wasn't a problem as I was just talking with my friend but this week I was trying to do some more tapestry weaving.  He sat there for a good while and occasionally was intrigued by the hanging bobbins and moving yarns.  Mostly he just sat there and watched.
I suspect the OH&S people would not like to see this.  However, I managed for a while and then he decided to go out and check on the garden (thank goodness).

As you can see, I have not done a lot on the tapestry since my previous post but I have finally finished all 13 of the parts that will be twisted.  At least, the bottom parts are done, I will have to do the other halves when I have woven the middle, solid piece.  I am hoping to get a bit done on this unofficial long weekend - the Melbourne Cup racing carnival. As I have absolutely no interest in horse racing, I will be able to concentrate on my textile work.
I had to blog today; 1+11=12

Ohhh! Mary, but - he looks sooo nice!!! Having a cat myself I know that they seem so light, but when they sit on one's lap they seem to gradually get heavier.... Very much look forward to see how your weaving will turn out! Vera

Thanks Vera. It wasn't so much that he was heavy but he was in the way!

Awww, super-cute! Mine gets on my lap too - most awkward, but she gets away with it ;)

I think you must have enjoyed the company to allow the cat to stay so long. Cats are very choosey about whom they share their company with. A hidden talent!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Michelle, I am not sure I could tolerate it regularly. It was cute this once. I will have to wait and see how I go on my next visit.

Glennis, I did enjoy it, it made me feel appreciated. Our dog is too big to sit on my lap while I weave but I am sure she would be jealous if only she could read blogs.

Mary, Cozmo obviously wishes to be incorporated into your work. Perhaps you could comb him and spin some cozmoyarn??

Misha, I have dog hair, from our dog. Two bags of it! But it smells. I suppose either would produce allergenic fabric, for those who are immune.
